Robert Weller (BSc (Hons), MBA, MIMC, FAICD, MGMA, MSCAA)

Robert Weller is the Managing Director of Robert Weller & Associates Pty Ltd. He has over thirty years experience in sales, marketing, management, and consulting. Robert has improved outcomes for companies such as ICI (UK); Orica; Unilever (National Starch and Chemical) and Nalco Chemical in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and China. Robert has particular interests and special expertise in Water Chemistry, Surface and Surface Coating Technology.


Robert has completed over fifteen strategic assignments for multinational chemical corporations around the world and has implemented in excess of eight strategic plans in more than six countries for new markets and new products. He co-developed and launched his first product in 1977. It became a leading product worldwide. He has been involved in the development and commercialisation of more than twenty five new products since then.

Robert is experienced in implementing world-class programmes for new product commercialisation, quality, safety, health, industrial and business strategy. Qualifications include a B Sc (Hons) and an MBA. He has completed the AICD Company Director’s Course, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Robert is an Associate of the Australian Industrial Research Group and is accredited AUSTRADE "Going Internation" Consultant. He was the former president of GMAA (7 years). Karsten Jorgensen (Bappsc (met), G.Dip Qual, mba, mapics

karstenjorgensenKarsten has over 25 years practical experience in Manufacturing and Supply chain. He is qualified as Bachelor of Applied Science (Metallurgy) and with postgraduate Qualifications in Quality Technology, and a Masters of Business Administration. He has 14 years consulting experience in designing and implementing lean manufacturing and supply chain strategies from small to major size organisations.

Karsten has held senior management positions in a number of companies including Ajax Fasteners, Iveco Trucks, CIGWELD, VISY Packaging, Cadbury Schweppes Australia, and Leigh Mardon.  Those senior roles include functional responsibilities for Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Quality Assurance and Information Technology.  

He has also worked for major consulting companies including KPMG and PriceWaterhouseCoopers and GRA Consulting and over his extensive international consulting career, Karsten has been instrumental in assisting organisations implement ERP and Supply Chain systems that have achieved direct bottom line benefits.

He has project managed many large scale and complex projects involving implementation and management of:

• ERP and Advanced Planning & Scheduling systems (SAP, i2, BPCS, MfgPro)
• Lean manufacturing systems and process (5S, OEE, Six Sigma, Kanbans/JIT, Kaizen)
• Quality Systems to achieve ISO9000 Accreditation

Karsten has managed over 40 successful projects involving small to large-scale teams across multinational businesses concentrating on the FMCG and food-manufacturing sector, and understands the vital retail sector. Karsten is a currently Vice president of the Victorian Chapter of the Australasian Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS) and the board of the National body.

Krishna Baswa BE (Mech), mba

Krishna has held various engineering and management positions at both Dana Automotive, Robert Bosch and Unidrive has contracted for FORD and Mitsubishi where he was instrumental in the development of their implementation of Quality Systems including DFMEA, DVP & R, RRCL, Global 8 D, systems engineering, DOE, Analytical Warranty System, Experimental and Parameter Design and PFMEA.

With an extensive background in lean manufacturing, Krishna has had exposure to many of the latest methodologies from a practical hands-on perspective. These include 5S, Toyota Way and Toyota Production System, A3 Communications / One page report writing, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen and Kan Ban systems.
He has worked closely with the Australian Productivity Council and with all the automotive companies and is aware of their stringent quality standard requirements.
In his position as a management consultant with Ridley Agri Products he has been closely involved in:

• Developing business strategy for centralised services
• Developing strategies for improvement in manufacturing profitability
• Re-engineering core processes to achieve significant
• Providing cost reduction advice on management and information systems
• Financial analysis and valuations
• Commercialisation of new product

Most recently Krishna has been involved with an assignment in Tear Down and Bench Marking at the Ford Motor Company for the Asia, Pacific and African region.
